L. R. Wilson was a well-known preacher and educator among the churches of Christ, preaching in western Tennessee, Arkansas, Texas, and Oklahoma. He was the founding President of two successful Christian colleges, Florida Christian College and Central Christian College (today Oklahoma Christian University).
