Born into a Russian family of almost unimaginable wealth with close ties to the Imperial family, Prince Felix led an eccentric life as a young man. He married the only niece of Tsar Nicholas II, Princess Irina Alexandrovna, "the most eligible girl in the Empire," in 1914. He is best known to history as one of the murderers of Grigori Rasputin. The couple fled Russia during the Revolution and lived the rest of their lives in France.
