It's really quite simple; if having detailed knowledge of the nuts and bolts of the Luftwaffe's force structure during World War II is important to you then you really want to have this book and its companions. However, keep in mind though that this is not a narrative history.

Let's just say that if you have the first volume you are certainly going to want the second volume, as the team of authors cover all the temporary formations of the Thirties, those units that were to convert to the Me.262, Lehrgeschwader, and the rest of the units in the main line of bomber units. About the only surprise to me is that Erprobungsgruppe 210 is not included; perhaps that formation will be in the forthcoming volumes on close-support units.

This work is exactly what it promises; a dictionary of the bomber units of the Luftwaffe to be used in conjunction with other operational accounts. If you're seriously interested in order of battle documentation you probably want a copy of this book.
