Zerries, was attending graduate school when she was persuaded to put together a copywriter’s portfolio and try her hand at it. It wasn’t long before Jean was on a new career path, and she spent the next 25 years at various New York agencies as a copywriter and creative director. Jean, an English Literature major who graduated cum laude from Rutgers University, began directing her writing skills toward fiction and in 2006, The Lost Van Gogh was published. Stealing from the Dead is Jean’s second standalone novel.
