Award description

Peter Pan Prize

The Peter Pan Prize was established in 2000 by IBBY Sweden and the Göteborg Book Fair. The Prize is awarded annually to a foreign child or youth book with both literary and subject quality, satisfying one or more of the following criteria:

*by a new or in Sweden less known author

*from a country, language or culture with limited representation in Sweden

*with a content concerning children or youth in foreign countries and cultures

The prize consists of a diploma and participation at the Göteborg Book Fair

Peter Pan’s Silver Stars

Awarded annually according to the same criteria as the Peter Pan Award to:

*a picture book

*a children’s book

*young people’s book

The prize consists of a diploma for the author, illustrator, translator and for the Swedish publisher.
