Abacuk Pricket (fl. 1610): Crew member on Henry Hudson's fatal final voyage to Hudson Bay. He was the only crew member to give a coherent written (as opposed to oral) account of what happened. All that is sure is that there was a mutiny, and that Hudson was probably set adrift. Many of the sailors who stayed with the Discovery died on the way back to England, and those who survived, including Pricket, disclaimed any responsibility. Whether they were telling the truth cannot be known and remains a subject of controversy.
