Character description

Aletta Henriëtte Jacobs, (1854-1929) was a pioneering physician and world-renowned advocate of birth control and the right to vote for women. She was the first woman to formally enroll at a Dutch university and the first female there to qualify as a physician. After the outbreak of World War I, she became an ardent pacifist as well.
