Character description

Anne Beauchamp, 16h Countess of Warwick in her own right (1426–1492), daughter of Richard Beauchamp, Earl of Warwick, and his second wife, Isabel le Despenser, was the sole inheritor of immense family estates and fortune. She married Richard Neville, Earl of Salisbury, named 16th Earl of Warwick in right of his wife. He was known as "Warwick the Kingmaker" for his leadership role in the Wars of the Roses. The couple had no sons, so their daughters Isabel and Anne Neville became the greatest heiresses in 15th-century England in their turn.
