Character description

Dragon. Birth date unknown; death date in the same year Beowulf died. The creature came to Geatland near the end of Beowulf's reign as King of the Geats and caused great damage. Beowulf, despite his age, set out to kill the dragon. He succeeded, helped by his kinsman Wiglaf (who really was more important than the king himself), but Beowulf was mortally wounded.
