Character description

Blanche of Burgundy (1296-1326) was a daughter of Otto IV, Count of Burgundy, and his wife Mahaut of Artois. She married the future King Charles IV of France. In 1314, she was implicated along with her older sister Jeanne (Joan) and their cousin Margaret of Burgundy in the adultery scandal known as the Tour de Nesle Affair, and imprisoned for the rest of her life.
