Chloe Parker is fascinated with the Regency and a lifelong member of the Jane Austen society. She thinks that she was born two centuries too late. She owns an antique letterpress business, but it is falling victim to the computerization of printing. She has an eight-year-old gifted daughter, Abby, whose future is central to her ambitions. In need of money, she signs on to what she supposes is a documentary but is actually a reality dating show called “How to Date Mr. Darcy.” (She didn't read the contract very carefully.) Her need becomes even more urgent when her ex-husband, who is remarrying, threatens to reopen their custody battle.
