Character description

Claude of France (1499–1524) was Queen Consort of King Francois I of France and Duchess of Brittany in her own right. She was the older daughter of King Louis XII and Anne of Brittany. She was thus a valuable matrimonial prize for Francois, whom she married in 1514. She gave birth to 7 children in 8 years and died aged only 24.
