Character description

Constance Countess Markievicz, née Gore-Booth (1868–1927) was an Irish nationalist and suffragist. She was sentenced to death by the English for her role in the 1916 Easter Rising, but reprieved. In 1918, she became the first woman elected to the British House of Commons, although she refused to be seated.
