Character description

Dave Walker, known as "Bull Creek Dave," resident of Christian County, Missouri. In the 1880s, a group of vigilantes called the Bald Knobbers were organized to bring law and order to Taney County. The organization eventually formed a chapter in Christian County. Dave Walker headed that group. In 1887, members of the group engaged in a vigilante killing. Dave Walker, although he had argued against some parts of the crime, did little to stop it. When the Bald Knobbers were brought to justice, he and his son Billy were among those convicted in the murders. Both were eventually hung.
