Character description

John of Austria (1545–1578) was an illegitimate son of the Holy Roman Emperor Charles V who grew up to become a Spanish prince and military leader for his half-brother, King Philip II. He was the victor of the famous naval battle of Lepanto (1571) against the Ottoman Empire.
