Character description

Emilie Flöge, (1874-1952) Klimt's companion and muse, owned a fashion salon, La Casa Piccola, in Vienna, which she ran with her sisters. The salon was a gathering place for the avant-garde of Vienna. After Klimt's death in 1918, Emilie inherited half of his belongings, the other half passing to his family.

In 1938, after the German Anschluss with Austria, the Floge sisters had to close their boutique. Emilie died in 1952, at the age of 78.
