Character description

Henry Dearborn (1751-1829): A successful soldier in the American Revolution, he was Secretary of War for most of the Jefferson administration, then became a Major General in the War of 1812. He was given command of the northeastern U. S., including the Canadian frontier east of Niagara. He was not aggressive enough for the administration (or his soldiers), and was soon replaced.
