Isabella of France (c. 1295–1358), who married King Edward II of England, is alternatively known as "Isabella the Fair" and "The She-Wolf of France," depending on the point of view. She and her lover Roger Mortimer, Earl of March, overthrew her husband and ruled until her son Edward III came of age and took power.
