Character description

James Stewart, 2nd Earl of Moray (c. 1565–1592) was a Scottish nobleman nicknamed "the Bonny Earl" for his good looks. He was murdered by George Gordon, Marquess of Huntly, in a family feud. He became the subject of a popular ballad, The Bonnie Earl of Moray (Child 181).
