Character description

Joan of the Tower (1321–1362), so called because she was born in the Tower of London, was the youngest daughter of King Edward II of England and Queen Isabella. She was married as a child in 1328 to King David II of Scotland, and they were together for 34 years, many of which her husband spent as an exile in France or as a prisoner in England.
