Character description

Louise Julie de Mailly-Nesle, comtesse de Mailly (1710–1751) was the eldest of 5 aristocratic sisters, four of whom became in turn official mistresses of King Louis XV of France. Madame de Mailly (she married her first cousin) was ousted from her position by her younger sisters, Madame de Vintimille and the duchesse de Châteauroux. She was sent away from court and retired to a convent.
