Character description

Archduchess Margaret of Austria (1480–1530), Duchess of Savoy, was a Habsburg princess, the daughter of the Holy Roman Emperor Maximilian I and Mary of Burgundy. She served as the guardian of her nephew, the future Emperor Charles V, who later appointed her governor or regent of the Netherlands. She helped negotiate the Treaty of Cambrai -- known as the Ladies' Peace -- with France.
