Character description

Maria Zambaco, née Casavetti (1843-1914), was a Greek-born sculptor who became the model and lover of the painter Sir Edward Burne-Jones in 1866. She appears in some of his most famous pictures, including "The Beguiling of Merlin."  Maria was a cousin of Marie Spartali Stillman.
