Newes from the Dead by Mary Hooper

Character description

Martha [John Clarke's maidservant]  Possibly a fictitious character.   In Mary Hooper's book, Newes from the Dead, she is the maidservant of John Clarke, apothecary, in whose house the near dissection turned revival takes place.  She is directed to sleep in her bed with Anne Greene in order to keep her warm.  She is so spooked by the idea of sleeping with the still unconscious Anne that she sleeps on the floor instead.
