Character description

Minalde ("Alde") is the younger sister of Alwir of the House of Bes, who arranged for her to be married to King Eldor Andarian a few years before the Rising of the Dark Ones. Although Alde was hopelessly in love with Eldor, he kept her at arms' length due to her brother's predatory political nature; they did, however, have one child, Altir ("Tir") Endorion. Alde was still in her teens, and Tir still a baby, when the Dark, eldritch creatures of legend with an insatiable hunger for human flesh, broke free of their tombs and overran Darwath. Believing both Eldor and Tir dead, Alde was left in a catatonic state until Ingold Inglorion brought her son back to her. This revived her and left her with a singular mission -- protect her son, now the King of Darwath, and his subjects, from all threats, including her own brother's attempts to control the regency. Although gentle and soft-spoken by nature, Alde has a strong core of fierceness and a remarkable amount of political savvy.
