Character description

Philippe II of Orléans (1674–1723), duc de Chartres and later duc d'Orléans, was the nephew of King Louis XIV of France. When the king died leaving a 5-year-old child (Louis XV) as his heir, Philippe served as Regent from 1715 to 1723.
