Character description

Richard de Ledrede, an English Franciscan friar, was the Bishop of Ossory.  He is most famous for his attempt to prosecute Alice Kyteler for heresy and witchcraft.   She escaped, presumably to England, but de Ledrede had her maidservant Petronella de Meath flogged and burned alive in 1324.
