Character description

Robert Carr, Earl of Somerset (1587–1645), was a Scottish courtier and favourite of King James I of England.
He was first created Viscount Rochester, then given an earldom, and in 1614 became Lord Chamberlain. His affair with Frances Howard caused a sensational public scandal.
