Character description

Roger II, King of Sicily (1095-1154), united the Norman conquests in Italy into a single harmonious, multi-ethnic nation with a centralized government. He was a patron of beautiful church architecture and made his court at Palermo one of the most cultured and learned of its day. His posthumous daughter was Constance of Sicily.
