Character description

Salah al-Dīn Yusuf ibn Ayyub (1138-1193), known as Saladin in Europe, was a Kurdish soldier and commander who led the Islamic opposition to the Third Crusade and eventually recaptured Palestine from the Latin Kingdom of Jerusalem.
