Character description

Samuel Wylie Crawford was an assistant surgeon attached to the federal garrison at Fort Moultrie, South Carolina, USA at the time of the 1860 - 1861 Secession Crisis. He later changed to a combat branch, and was one of the Union officers at the Battle of Gettysburg.
