Character description

Sir Thomas Overbury (1581–1613), an English poet and essayist, was a close friend of Robert Carr, earl of Somerset. He was imprisoned in the Tower of London and died suddenly after opposing Somerset's marriage to Frances Howard. She later confessed to poisoning him.
