Character description

Tom Tring is a Detective Sergeant at Scotland Yard, and Alec Flethcer's right-hand man.  He is an enormous man, both tall and heavy.   He is happily married to Mrs. Tring, an excellent cook with a similar figure.  He is given to wearing brightly colored checked suits.  He is surprising light on his feet, and particularly good at charming servant women.
