Character description

Eighteenth President of the United States. However, Grant was even better known as the career army officer who broke the siege of Vicksburg and was then put in command of the Army of the Potomac, after which he conquered Richmond, Virginia and accepted the surrender of Robert E. Lee and the Army of Northern Virginia, which was the beginning of the end of the American Civil War.
