Expat Readers

This group has become officially dormant. It happens. If you want to revive this group, or create a new group on the same topic see this page.

A group for anyone living the expatriate life, or reading or writing about the expatriate life. Many writers, from James Joyce and Ernest Hemingway to V.S. Naipaul and Solzhenitsyn, have written their best works while living away from their home country. It is still an important theme in literature, as millions of expats choose to live outside their homelands. By 'expats' I don't mean immigrants or refugees, as their experience is different in many ways; but of course immigrants and refugees are welcome to share their experiences here as well.
