Friends of Mary Ann Evans

This group has become officially dormant. It happens. If you want to revive this group, or create a new group on the same topic see this page.

If you are a fan, the title needs no explanation. If you aren't, then you had best learn at once that Mary Ann (or Marian) Evans is the real name of Victorian author George Eliot, who wrote novels such as Middlemarch, The Mill on the Floss, Daniel Deronda, and Silas Marner.

I started this group because I noticed that while most of the famous Victorian authors (Dickens, the Brontes, Trollope) had their own groups, Eliot had been curiously overlooked. We must remedy this oversight.
