History: On learning from and writing history

Description: Is historiography useful in any form today?
Each written history has its own viewpoint.
What is correct?
Is it the big men that make movements of history or the other way around?
Is the new Big Picture history the right approach?
Are those who don't learn from history condemned to repeat it?
Lots of questions but are there answers?
