Information

Description: This is a group to discuss books that are on the subject of 'information'. What is it, where do you get it, how do you add value to it, and how do you protect it. Its not about information security (although that is how I backed into this). It covers both philosophical issues and cultural/historical works about the technologies that we use to create and manipulate information. It overlaps with knowledge management, but it isn't really the same. It overlaps with the history of computing, also. Important authors include Machlup and Cortada.
