For those who own a Barnes & Noble Nook e-reader, you have the unique ability to lend someone e-books which have been purchased via the Barnes & Noble website. This is a group where you can post what you have to offer someone else and make requests for what you would like to borrow.

If you are requesting a book, please give the email address that you have associated with your Nook account. If you don't want to put your email address on the Internet, then contact the lender privately.

Remember that you can use the search function to look for books that may have mentioned in weeks or months past.

A few reminders about lending on the Nook:

*Only those books with the "Lend Me" icon next to them are available for lending.

*A book cannot be read by you while it is on loan to someone else.

*A book can only be lent once, so after an exchange has happened, it would be a good idea to delete the relevant messages to keep things from getting cluttered.

*The lent book will only be visible for two weeks (Tip: If you want more time, keep your Nook in "airplane mode" so it doesn't know what day it is!)

*You cannot lend a book which you have borrowed.

*You can't archive or copy a book that has been lent to you.
