North and South Poles

This group has become officially dormant. It happens. If you want to revive this group, or create a new group on the same topic see this page.

For polar exploration fans. Books discussed can include first-hand accounts (Shackleton's South or Nansen's Farthest North, for example), books about specific polar expeditions (such as To Stand at the Pole: The Dr. Cook-Admiral Peary Controversy), or general books about polar exploration (such as Richard Sales' Polar Reaches). For those with an interest in polar stories from any era or polar region. Also, discussions of any fiction set in polar extremes (including YA and children's genres) are also welcome.
