Readercon Conversations

Description: Readercon is an annual nonprofit literary conference or a science fiction convention, depending on your point of view. It is a weekend in July of each year, held in Burlington, Massachusetts, where readers come together to talk about and buy books. Each conference features over 100 professionals in the field of imaginative literature and honors a few of these specifically. Past Guests of Honor have included: John Crowley, Samuel Delany, Ursula LeGuin, Bruce Sterling, Suzy McGee Charnas, William Gibson, Kim Stanley Robinson, Gwyneth Jones, Gene Wolfe, Karen Joy Fowler, Lucius Shepard, Octavia Butler, James Morrow, China MiƩville...(to name a few).

Readercon's Guests of Honor this year will be Jonathan Lethem and James Patrick Kelly; Memorial Guest of Honor is Stanislaw Lem

This group has been created to either start conversations or continue discussions inspired by some part of the convention (i.e. the authors, books or ideas). Want to start talking about the Guests of Honor before the convention? Want to continue to discuss a topic you explored during a previous convention? Want to explore other topics of interest in keeping with the spirit of Readercon? You've come to the right place!

Whether you have been to the convention, are planning to go, wish you could go or just like the kind of stuff we talk about, please join us!

Note: This is not a place to discuss official RC business of any kind. Please direct these kinds of comments to the RC committee via their website. Thanks.
