Skeptics and Rationalists

This group has become officially dormant. It happens. If you want to revive this group, or create a new group on the same topic see this page.

A group for LT members who refuse to take the world at face value. The OED defines a sceptic (or skeptic) as "a person inclined to question or doubt accepted opinions". We are the ones who ask for evidence when someone else posits the 'truth' of their beliefs or theories. That doesn't mean a blanket denial of everything we don't understand but it does mean taking a critical look at what others take for granted.

Sk(c)eptic - a person inclined to question or doubt accepted opinions.

Rationalism - the practice or principle of basing opinions and actions on reason and knowledge rather than on religious belief or emotional response.
