The Turk's Head

This group has become officially dormant. It happens. If you want to revive this group, or create a new group on the same topic, see this page.

Samuel Johnson and his circle met there regularly and called themselves the Club. Walter Jackson Bate described it as 'the most remarkable assemblage of diverse talents that has ever met so frequently for the sole purpose of conversation.' This is a group for those interested in Johnson or other members of the Club, and you're encouraged to continue the tradition here.
