Notice text: "WHEREAS the Library late of Charles Read, Esq; is very much dispers'd, and many Sets of Books broken, particularly of the Spectator, Tatler, Guardian, Conquest of Mexico, Athenian Oracle, &c. and some whole Sets lent out, together with several valuable Treatises. These are therefore to desire those who have any Books lately belonging to the said Charles Read, that (in order to prevent the Expence of repairing the Library aforesaid) they would generously and gratefully return them."
