Advertisement text (3 December 1730): "A Valuable Collection of BOOKS, many of which exceeding Rare, in Hebrew and other Oriental Languages, Greek, Latin, French, Dutch and English, in divers Arts & Sciences, being the more Learned part of the Libraries of the Rev. Mr. Thomas Thacher and the Rev. Mr. John Oxenbridge of Boston, the Rev. Mr. Peter Thacher of Milton, and the Rev. Mr. William Waldron of Boston: besides others lately Imported from England: To be Sold at Auction at the House of Samuel Gerrish Bookseller on Monday the 14th of this Month, at 5 in the afternoon."

The 1730 advertisements suggest that the remnants of the libraries of Rev. John Oxenbridge and Rev. Thomas Thacher were sold along with the library of Rev. Peter Thacher (who married Oxenbridge's daughter Theodora).
