We all go a little mad sometimes

Description: These are books that read like a slasher flick. They usually follow 'The Rules'- the killer is unknown or masked and seemingly invincible, the victims are isolated either geographically or because of something in their past, there are multiple gruesome murders, and finally the Final Girl survivor. But not all these books are so cut and dried. So enjoy, gentle reader, what you can of them. Although if you find these books enjoyable, God help us. Unlike most of my other lists I'm not trying to bring lesser known works to light but to tag an idea wherever it might fester, so some of these books may be familiar to you. There are some novelizations of films, but many are not and I've noted those books that are.

Explanations:

SomeGuyInVirginia (7): Brother and sister psycho killers dispatch in novel ways. This one is something of a stretch, but Baxt is so much fun that I wanted one book by him on the list. Although I haven't read it, his 'Process of Elimination' may more squarely hit the mark...or certainly the Sue! Bwahahahaha!… (more)
