Greetings & Readings of Hunt Valley: Sarah Quigley (November 27 at 12:00pm)
Sarah Quigley signs TMI.
Sarah Quigley is an accomplished author whose TMI is a charming look at adolescence in the modern age. Young adults through grade 10 should appreciate the story of Becca and her aptness for TMI. Friends call Becca the Overshare Queen, but her tendency for too much information - TMI - never seemed like ... (more)a problem to her until she blabs about her sweet band-geek boyfriend's sloppy kisses and gets dumped! Realizing it may be better to resist the temptation to overshare face-to-face, Becca decides to blog anonymously about everything instead. On her blog, Too Much Information, Becca unleashes her alter ego, Bella. Bella tells it like it is... though perhaps with a "bit" more drama. After all, no one's going to read it, right?

Greetings & Readings of Hunt Valley: Bill McAllen (November 27 at 6:00pm)
Bill McAllen signs Spirit of Place / Baltimore's Favorite Spaces.
Bill McAllen's Spirit of Place / Baltimore’s Favorite Spaces captures how Baltimore’s architecture, neighborhoods and public spaces - the celebrated, the everyday and the forgotten - resonate in our lives and memories. We may admire architecture for its design, grace and function, but it’s how ... (more)we interact with a building or place - the way we inhabit it, and it inhabits us - that gives it its soul. A one-of-a-kind tour of the Baltimore region, the book is equal parts fine art photography book and oral history celebrating the people and places that put the charm in Charm City. Inside the pages are 58 stories written by Sarah Achenbach, filled with nostalgia, triumphs, yearnings, sadness and hope. The exquisite black-and-white photographs by Bill McAllen capture both the human and bricks-and-mortar subjects, celebrating the architectural character and the character of the person whom admires it.

From the early campaigns of the Revolutionary War in 1776 to the final battles in 1781, Lieutenant Colonel John Eager Howard of the Maryland Line built a reputation as an outstanding military leader. She is a graduate of the University of Notre Dame, the mother of three and lives in ... (more)her native Maryland. Seth Jacobs has it all - looks, fame, wealth, a beautiful wife and three children, a mansion in greater Boston, a highly successful restaurant business, lots of friends, loyal employees. And in a series of reversals of fortune beyond his control, Seth loses it all - his family, home, business, reputation - even his health when he finds out he is dying of cancer. Seth's faith is challenged by his friends who suggest perhaps God has a reason for inflicting so much loss and pain upon him. Suffering, he asks God, like we all do, "Why is this happening to me?" Wanting his life to end, with some help he finally finds an unexpected "answer" to his despair. A modern-day story based on the Bible's Book of Job, The Faithful One inspires us all to have a little more faith, no matter what.

I am so proud of both of them and I love them deeply." Gisriel dedicated his book to Martha and Vince Gisriel, Sr. for all they endured during World War II. It is also dedicated to all who serve our nation in the military: past, present and future. Ellen Nibali signs The Secret of St. Nicholas.
Written by local author Ellen Nibali and illustrated by Lon Eric Craven, The Secret of St. Nicholas tells of the origins of one Santa Claus for childred ages 7 and up.
