Ace Atkins & C.J. Box
Murder By The Book, Saturday, July 26 at 4:30pm
Ace Atkins will sign and discuss The Forsaken (Putnam; 26.95). Ace Atkins is the author of eleven novels, including The Lost Ones andLullaby, both out from G.P. Putnam’s Sons in May 2012. As a reporter, Ace earned a Pulitzer Prize nomination for a feature series based on his investigation into a forgotten murder of the 1950s. The story became the core of his critically acclaimed novel, White Shadow, which earned raves from noted authors and critics. The Lost Ones and The Ranger represent a return to Ace’s first love: hero-driven series fiction. Quinn Colson is a real hero—a veteran of Iraq and Afghanistan—who returns home to north Mississippi to fight corruption on his home turf. The stories, contemporary tales with a dash of classic westerns and noir, are currently in development for a major television series. Ace lives on a historic farm outside Oxford, Mississippi with his family. Lately, he’s been spending a lot of time in Boston, much of it at the corner of Berkeley and Boylston.

C.J. Box will sign and discuss the newest book in his Joe Pickett series, Shots Fired: Stories from Joe Pickett (Putnam; $26.95).

C.J. Box is the bestselling author of Three Weeks to Say Goodbye, and thirteen other novels including the award-winning Joe Pickett series. Blue Heaven won the Edgar Award for Best Novel in 2009, and Box has won the Anthony Award, the Prix Calibre 38 (France), the Macavity Award, the Gumshoe Award, and the Barry Award. His first novel, Open Season, was a New York Times Notable Book and an Edgar Award and Los Angeles Times Book Prize finalist. Box’s work has been translated into twenty-five languages. He lives in Wyoming. Visit www.cjbox.net.
