History and Fiction in The Beekeeper's Apprentice: The Changing Role of Women in World War I
Howe Library, Wednesday, October 8 at 7pm
UNH professor Nicoletta Gullace will speak about changes in British society during the first World War, with particular attention to changes in women's roles. Gullace is Associate Professor of History at the University of New Hampshire and the author of The Blood of Our Sons: Men, Women, and the Renegotiation of British Citizenship During the Great War. Her research interests include modern Britain, European cultural history, and women's history.
