About meI'm female. I majored in English at a small liberal arts college in Iowa. When not working, or repairing something around the house I enjoy cooking, reading, gardening, photography, and compulsive Law and Order watching. Cataloging my books (I have far to go) has made me put a good number back on my to read again shelf, and inspired me to be more vigilant about my existing book organization system.

About my libraryI've read the vast majority of the books I have personally placed on my shelves (others are still on my to do list). I have some random pieces handed over by friends and family, and the occasional cast off that looks interesting. I also spend a decent amount of time picking up interesting titles at second hand stores (the Salvation Army near my house actually has a fair selection and turnover). I read a mix of everything. I have a sizable cookbook collection, so those I typically just page through from time to time for inspiration.
